Our expertise

What we check before you ever see a piece

Fine jewellery is bought on trust, and trust is built on process. This is the standard every Nyce Designz piece is held to before it is photographed and listed.

Stone selection

Centre stones are chosen for face-up performance, not just paper. We look at cut behaviour, table reflection, and how a stone holds colour under mixed light — then confirm against the grading report.

  • Natural and lab-grown diamonds, disclosed clearly and never mixed
  • Colour and clarity assessed in controlled light
  • Certification available from recognised laboratories on request
  • Coloured gemstones checked for treatment and origin disclosure

Metal and construction

Gold is alloyed and stamped to standard, and every setting is inspected for prong thickness, gallery clearance and comfort on the finger. Weight matters: an under-weight shank looks the same in a photograph and fails within a year of wear.

  • 18K and 14K gold, stamped and weighed
  • Gross weight and diamond weight recorded per piece
  • Prong, bezel and pavé settings pressure-tested
  • Rhodium finishing on white gold where appropriate

Finishing and quality control

Each piece is polished, cleaned and re-inspected under magnification before photography. Photographs on this site show the actual piece — not a render and not a stock image from a supplier catalogue.

Disclosure

We state what a stone is. Lab-grown is described as lab-grown, treated colour is described as treated, and where a certificate exists we will send it before you commit. If we are unsure of something, we say so.

Questions about a specific stone?
